What will you do?

As a Sales Engineer at Monotch, you are key to expanding our turnover. Together with our business developers, you work on developing the best solution for every customer request. Whether it concerns a municipality in the Netherlands or a region in the Middle East, you use your in-depth knowledge of our advanced software platform to translate opportunities into concrete proposals.

You advise and support our business developers and partners by giving demonstrations, answering tenders, and spotting upsell opportunities. You connect people, wishes, and technology. You can make complex matters understandable and manageable thanks to your sharp insight and communication skills.

Tasks & responsibilities

Pre-sales

  • You understand customer needs to the core by asking the right questions, whereby both the what and the why behind the wishes are exposed.
  • You bring customer wishes and internal possibilities together in the sales process.
  • You form the substantive link between the customer and Monotch in the pre-sales process. You ensure that customer needs are converted into clear, functional proposals. Collaborating with business developers, you develop solutions matching our products and services. Once the solution has been sold, you transfer the services to one of our service or project managers.
  • You can translate a customer request into a catchy and convincing product demonstration.

Commercial & Strategic Insights

  • Actively collaborate with customers to collect specific wishes and recognise emerging trends by signalling recurring requests. You identify patterns and link these back to the Product Manager.
  • You translate customer wishes into concrete, technically feasible solutions. In doing so, you work closely with business developers to clearly understand the scope and costs. You carefully draw up quotations and addendums, with an eye for detail and clarity. You ensure the sales team knows exactly what is happening, from lead time to technical choices, so we can quickly and effectively switch to the customer together.
  • Assess tender requirements and translate them into feasible solutions that match our product range.
  • You always have your ears and eyes open for upsell opportunities and proactively identify new possibilities. Once you have discovered these opportunities, involve the Sales or Business Development team to develop them further.
  • Support international partners with commercial opportunities and ensure the right coordination so that they can optimally benefit from the possibilities offered by our platform.
  • Support the sales team in connecting new partners to the TLEX platform.
  • Contribute to the product vision and propose new functional ideas.

Your background and experience

Who you are:

  • Can translate technical information into understandable language for different target groups.

What do you bring?

  • A completed HBO or WO education
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience at the intersection of IT and business
  • Affinity with IT and Smart Mobility
  • Fluent in Dutch and professionally skilled in English.

Working hours: 32-40 hours per week

Salary indication: Salary based on experience + 8% holiday allowance

Vacation days: 30 (possibility to buy 10 more)

Contract: 1 year, then permanent
